Services Provided by the Sächsische Ärzteversorgung

We support you from the start of your career right through to retirement, standing by your side at every stage of life. We offer stable, long-term cover that you can rely on. Even if you are no longer able to work for health reasons, we will support you with appropriate benefits and personalised care. In difficult life situations, such as the loss of a spouse or a parent, we will not leave you to cope alone.

Incidentally, you are entitled to our benefits without any waiting periods, provided that at least one monthly contribution has been paid and the other eligibility requirements are met. Members whose membership is first established whilst they are on maternity leave or parental leave can even claim SÄV benefits without having made an initial contribution.

Voluntary subsidy for rehabilitation measures

Upon application, the Sächsische Ärzteversorgung grants a voluntary subsidy towards the costs of medically indicated rehabilitation measures, provided that such measures are suitable for maintaining, significantly improving or restoring the patient’s ability to work.

Disability Pension

Members who, due to a physical disability or a decline in physical or mental capacity, are no longer able to practise the medical or veterinary profession may apply for a disability pension.

Child Allowance

Recipients of a disability pension are entitled, upon application, to a child allowance amounting to 10% of their pension for each biological or adopted child until the child reaches the age of 21 (or 27 at the latest).

Retirement pension

The Sächsische Ärzteversorgung offers flexible retirement options: in addition to the standard (mandatory) pension, members can also opt for an early or deferred pension.

Widow's and Widower's Pension

Upon application, the Sächsische Ärzteversorgung pays a widow’s or widower’s pension to the surviving spouse of a deceased member, provided that all conditions are met.

Orphan's allowance

Following the death of a member, the Sächsische Ärzteversorgung pays an orphan’s allowance for the member’s biological or adopted children, upon application, until the child reaches the age of 21 (or 27 at the latest).
